What has become of Runescape?
Every where I go there is a lot of OSRS gold anti marcoing ads and threats about marcoing that it has come to point where we have to say enough is enough. For one, I strongly stand against macroing since it will ruins the game and makes it almost impossible for us honest players to get resources to assist us ability. In this topic I wish to bring out the point that there's too much anxiety around this entire anti marcoing campany that Jagex and well everyone has moving.
First off, everyday I log into Runescape and also have my own fair share of skilling in a crowd spot. Generally, I don't like talking in the general public as it could become really annoying espically when coaching Mining and Firemaking. Additionally, I have public chat off, since all the colored and animated texts may get annoying. However, I only have people on when I'm performing a clan event or answering some questions or actually talking to people whom I want to speak to.
And lets face it, the only questions that I come across when coaching will be"whats your level in that ability?" So generally I don't chat in the general public, as I generally like speaking to the clan in the clan conversation. After awhile of individuals hoping to ask me what my level is, they arrive at the assumption that I'm a bot, since I am not talking. So, I can safely assume that they report me and I get raped by random events, that are sometimes really good, but they prevent me from training my abilities.
Of coarse I am not marcoing, therefore I don't receive any punishment. However, I get the felling that there's too much fear around this entire marcoing thing and Jagex is forcing the train to fast for it to be really good. Every where I go about the Jagex site, there is some type of Anti Marcoing ad, or there's some sort of post about reporting Bots.
This has made the general public presume that all people that don't responed to their idiotic questions, which I might add can be easily answered by looking on the high scores page, that they are bots. And I know that macroing is all about going to be a problem, but why all this effort into one difficulty? There are hundreds and hundreds of different issues out there that need to be solved as well. Jagex has created an unnessicary fear.
To be honest, this is very much like the entire terrorism fear generated by authorities and the media. Sure it's out there, but it doesn't happen everyday. There larger and worse issues out there. However, according to Neo-Con theory from Carl Schmitt, you need to have an enemy picture so as to have a society. So, is Jagex trying to turn us honest participant aginst one another to help better the community or are they attempting to assist us by making us think that people with their people chat off are enemies of buy 2007 runescape gold the match?
